• Microsoft allows for set-up/format changes to accommodate different needs (ie. Landscape, portrait, margins, etc.)
• Microsoft is able to save work, in case of a future need, minimizing paper files.
• Microsoft is available for future editing, without having to erase or re-write.
• Microsoft has options to make tables to organize data/work more clearly.
• Microsoft can be linked to a website for quick access.
• Microsoft word has programs for letter writing and making envelopes to minimize handwritten work.
• Labels are easily printed using Microsoft word.

o Paper and pencil don’t break down or crash, causing you to lose all your work.
o Paper and pencil are easily filed and saved.
Learning Activities
1. Typing practice – students can sit at the computer and practice typing on word, giving them access to spell/grammar check and reminders.
2. Paper writing (made simple) – w/editing and saving capabilities
3. Creating unique Bulletins/Newsletters – there are a variety of fonts, formats, margins, colors, and options to make any creation unique.
4. Creating tables – for data collection, schedules, and lesson plans
5. Letters – labels can be printed quickly using Microsoft word
6. Letter writing with assistance to teach students proper techniques
