Excellent list Emily. You might want to add that when you create a document in Word,it can easily be sent to another person as an attachment to an email.
Paula - spreadsheet vs hand calculation
Paula, that is a great list. The only other thing that comes to mind is the use of an excel spreadsheet to track student data. I use one to keep an easy record of my student's reading scores. It helps me track their progress and is all on one page which allows me to keep track of the group as a whole and compare student learning.

One thing you might add - power point gives you the added plus of being able to create a handout of slides for presentation notes. You can select the option of creating spaces for listeners to record additional notes next to each slide
